Pliant Therapeutics
Vikram Rao is an experienced associate scientist at Pliant Therapeutics, with expertise in translational sciences and molecular screening. Since joining Pliant in October 2017, Vikram has progressed from Research Associate II to Associate Scientist I, playing a key role in developing a precision-cut tissue slice platform and serving as a subject matter expert in ex vivo tissue processing. Prior roles included contributions to high-content imaging for drug efficacy, support of significant funding rounds, and advancements in collaborations with Novartis. Vikram has a solid foundation in bioengineering, holding a Master's degree from UC San Diego and a Bachelor's degree from UC Merced, complemented by more than a decade of research and tutoring experience in various academic and industry settings.
