Karin Hedberg

Karin Hedberg is an experienced NLP Engineer currently working at Plint since January 2023 as part of the Innovation Team. With a strong background in data science, Karin served as a Data Scientist at B3 Indes from October 2021 to December 2022, and also founded TechnoLinguist AB while holding the roles of NLP Engineer there from December 2017 to December 2022. Prior experience includes positions as a Language Engineer at Apple and GlobeTech, where involvement with the Siri Assistant and Text-to-Speech teams occurred. Additional roles include linguistic consultancy at Lionbridge, a Research Assistant at Göteborgs universitet contributing to the KOALA project, and various research positions in linguistic annotation projects. Karin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics and Persian from the University of London, along with Master’s Degrees in Language Technology from the University of Gothenburg and IT and Cognition from Københavns Universitet.
