Eshcar Hillel is a Principal Research Scientist in the CTO Office at Pliops, focusing on next-generation AI storage solutions since January 2022. Previously, from February 2011 to January 2022, Eshcar led the Scalable Systems Research team at Yahoo, enhancing platform scalability and reliability for major products while contributing to open-source projects and serving on various program committees. Eshcar's academic experience includes a lecturer position on Big Data Technology at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and a PhD in Computer Science from the same institution, where earlier education was also completed with a BSc in Software Engineering. Additionally, Eshcar has experience as a Software Engineer at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories, working on SQL/MX Spatial Extension projects.
