Kerry Armstrong has a diverse work experience in engineering and compliance roles. Starting in 1989, Kerry worked as an Engineering Technician at Rupprecht and Patashnick Co until 1995. Kerry then joined Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Compliance Engineer, responsible for acquiring safety standards for new designs. In 2007, Kerry moved to Red Lion Controls, where they held various roles including Compliance Engineer, Senior Regulatory and Compliance Engineer, and Senior Certification Engineer. At Red Lion Controls, Kerry managed testing and evaluations for hazardous location approvals and worked on maritime approval and UL listings. Finally, in 2020, Kerry joined Plug Power as a Senior Certification Engineer, with the responsibility of acquiring a safety listing for hydrogen dispensers.
Kerry Armstrong pursued their education from 1988 to 1992. They attended Excelsior University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology (BSET). During the same period, Kerry also attended Hudson Valley Community College to pursue an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S) in Electrical Engineering Technology.
In addition to their formal education, Kerry Armstrong obtained a certification in "Deep Work: Rules for Focused Success in a Distracted World (Blinkist Summary)" from LinkedIn in November 2019.
