Edo Gaude has a diverse work experience in the scientific field. Edo started working at the Medical Research Council in 2012 as a mass spectrometry specialist and stayed there until September 2014. In 2018, they joined Owlstone Medical as a targeted metabolomics scientist, where they are still employed. In the same year, they also joined POCKiT as the Chief Innovation Officer until October 2020. Currently, Edo works as the Chief Science Officer at POCKiT, a position they have held since November 2020.

Edo Gaude obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from Libera Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele in 2009. Edo then pursued a Master of Science degree in Medical and Molecular Biotechnology from the same institution, which they completed in 2012. In 2014, Edo enrolled at the University of Cambridge and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Cancer Metabolism in 2017. Following this, in 2018, they participated in the Cambridge Judge Business School Startup Accelerate program to further their knowledge in Business Administration and Management, General.

Pockit diagnostics

Pockit has discovered and validated novel blood biomarkers for the detection of stroke patients suffering from a large vessel occlusion. Biomarkers enable faster and more accurate stroke diagnosis which will decrease the time to treatment, reducing disabilities and deaths after a stroke. Pockit owns a family of patents which protects novelbiomarkers for stroke detection.
