Sacha Gunaratne is a skilled Data Scientist with extensive experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence. Currently working at Plenty of Fish since February 2023, Sacha previously held roles at Decisive AI from January 2018 to December 2022, focusing on intelligent agents for the video game industry. Sacha also contributed as a Graduate Researcher at Carleton University, investigating learning from observation and developing frameworks for autonomous agents. Additional experience includes a position as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, where Sacha taught coding in Java and C++, and as an Independent Contractor for SharpestMinds, building predictive tools for interest rate movements. Sacha's earlier role as a Co-op Engineer at Flextronics involved implementing automated reporting tools and performing hardware testing. Sacha holds a Master of Applied Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a specialization in machine learning and artificial intelligence from Carleton University, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Physics.
