Before joining Plenty of Fish, Shannon worked as an Advertising Executive at the same company starting in 2010.

Following their time at Steveston Secondary School, they pursued higher education at Kwantlen Polytechnic University from 2007 to 2009. During their time at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Shannon obtained a Diploma in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication.
