Darren Smith started their work experience in 1987 as a Sales Account Manager at Digital Equipment Corporation. From 1998 to 2000, they worked as a Sales Engineer at LogicData. Following that, they served as the Manager of Sales Operations at Finali Corporation from 2000 to 2002. From 2002 to 2003, Darren held the position of Sales & Marketing Director at AcuPower. Currently, they are the CTO at Point of Reference, where they have been working since 2003.

Darren Smith attended King Edwards Aston from 1977 to 1984 for their secondary education. Darren then went on to study Production & Manufacturing Engineering from 1984 to 1987 at Coventry University.
