Sean Abreau

Sean Abreau is a skilled Machine Learning Engineer with extensive experience in developing and deploying machine learning systems. Currently at Alloy since 2022, Sean focuses on fraud detection and transaction monitoring. Prior experience includes leading machine learning content creation at a unicorn startup from 2021 to 2022, where improvements were made to data pipelines and the development of personalized event recommendation systems. As a Machine Learning Researcher at the University of California, San Francisco from 2019 to 2021, Sean designed novel pipelines for drug development and collaborated on applying deep learning in clinical practice. Earlier roles include a Quality Engineering Intern and Software Engineering Intern at Lam Research, where significant contributions were made to process improvement and real-time data analytics. Sean holds a Master's degree in Data Science from Brown University and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
