Jan Cienski is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in policy and reporting, currently serving as Senior Policy Editor and Energy and Security Editor at POLITICO Europe since April 2015. Cienski previously held the position of Poland Correspondent for The Economist and Editor for Central European Financial Observer from 2014 to 2015, where responsibilities included editing a new economic portal focusing on Poland and Central Europe. A former bureau chief for the Financial Times in Warsaw and Prague, Cienski has also worked as a Washington correspondent for the National Post and held reporting roles with The Associated Press and Deutsche Presse-Agentur in Moscow. Jan Cienski earned a BA in International Relations from the University of Toronto's Trinity College.
