Established in 1999 by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), the School of Professional Education and Executive Development (SPEED) is a self-financed institution offering a wide range of quality top-up honours degree programmes in the fields of applied sciences, business, engineering, language and social sciences etc, with a view to providing flexible and quality articulation pathways for sub-degree graduates. 

In addition, SPEED has developed collaborations with Northumbria University’s Newcastle Business School and the University of London to offer top-up degree programmes and preparatory law courses respectively in Hong Kong. SPEED also offers a wide array of continuing education courses on specialized subjects to working professionals seeking continuing education.
