Fr. Tim McCabe, SJ, has served as President and CEO at Pope Francis Center since June 2015. Prior to that, Fr. Tim was the Executive Director at Jesuit Volunteer Corps from August 1993 to June 2015, and at Freedom House from June 1986 to June 1990. Fr. McCabe holds a Master of Divinity degree in Theology/Theological Studies from the Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University, earned in 2015, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from University of Detroit Mercy, completed in 1993.

Located in the heart of downtown Detroit, the Pope Francis Center provides vital services to the city’s homeless. On an average day, we welcome nearly 200 guests and provide them with nutritious meals, showers, laundry and access to doctors, dentists, lawyers, and housing providers through our free clinics. We have been serving Detroit’s most vulnerable citizens for the past 30 years, and we’re committed to eradicating chronic homelessness by 2030.
