Karl Trask is a seasoned professional in health and safety management, currently serving as the Senior Project Health and Safety Lead for the Automation Project at Port of Tauranga Limited since August 2023. Prior to this role, Karl held various positions including Project Health Safety Environment Manager at Winstone Wallboards Ltd (May 2021 - August 2023) and Snr Safety Coordinator for Tunnels at City Rail Link Ltd (August 2020 - May 2021). Additional experience includes Safety Coordinator roles at Transport for NSW, Bouygues Construction, and a series of Safety Advisor positions in the projects for Laing O'Rourke and Novo Rail Alliance. Karl holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from the University of Otago, completed in 2004, and received secondary education at Tauranga Boys College from 1996 to 2000.
