Michael Osanloo has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the food industry. Michael served as the President & CEO of Portillo's since October 2018. Prior to that, they were the Chief Executive Officer of P.F. Chang's China Bistro Inc., overseeing a company with over 300 locations worldwide. Before that, they worked at Kraft Foods Group, where they held roles such as EVP and President Grocery, as well as EVP Global Strategy and M&A. Michael also served as the SVP Marketing at Caesars Entertainment Corporation. Michael began their career at Bain & Company, where they worked as a Partner for almost a decade. Michael started their professional journey as an Attorney at Seyfarth Shaw.
Michael Osanloo has an MBA degree from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Michael also holds a JD degree in Law from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an AB degree in Economics from the University of Michigan.

In 1963, Dick Portillo and his wife Sharon invested their life savings of $1,100 into a hot dog stand called “The Dog House” in Villa Park, IL. The Dog House didn’t have running water or a bathroom. Dick had to run garden hoses from a local business to get the water he needed. The menu was simple – hot dogs, tamales, fries and a coke, all for under 35 cents. Through Dick’s hard work and determination, the Dog House evolved into Portillo’s and has become what it is today. Come and enjoy our legendary food served by the friendliest people in the business.
