Matteo Lombardi has extensive experience in financial statements and consolidation processes. Matteo began their career at Poste Italiane in 2013 as a Consolidated Financial Statements and Accounting Principles Specialist, where they were responsible for monitoring, reconciliation, and adjustment of consolidation data. Matteo also assisted in the preparation of quarterly consolidated financial statements. In 2018, they joined Atlantia S.p.A. as a Consolidated Financial Statements & Budget Professional, where they prepared annual and interim consolidated financial statements according to international accounting standards. Matteo also participated in various specialist activities supporting the management of relations with external parties. In 2020, they returned to Poste Italiane as Head of Consolidated Financial Statements, overseeing the consolidation process, monitoring group performance, and providing support in M&A operations.
Matteo Lombardi attended Università degli studi Roma TRE from 2007 to 2010, earning a Laurea di primo livello in Economia delle imprese e dei mercati. Matteo then pursued a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the same university, graduating in 2013. Prior to that, they completed their secondary education at Liceo Scientifico Statale Primo Levi from 2002 to 2007, obtaining a secondary school leaving qualification in Scientific studies. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Business English at Università degli Studi Roma Tre in 2012.

The Financial Service combines the activities of banking services. The Insurance Service includes the activities of Poste Assicura SpA, Poste Vita SpA and its subsidiaries. The Other Service includes the activities of Poste Mobile SpA and the Consortium for the phone services of Mobile Phone ScpA. The main shareholder of the Company is the Italian government.
