Dr. Yael Bozzay has a diverse work experience in the education field. Dr. Yael began their career as an English Teacher at San Marcos Unified School District in 2003 and held this position until 2014. In 2013, they joined Total School Solutions as an Educational Consultant, where they worked until 2015. Since 2014, Dr. Bozzay has been with Poway Unified School District, initially serving as an Assistant Principal and later being promoted to the role of High School Principal in July 2022.
Dr. Yael Bozzay holds a Doctorate in Organizational Change & Leadership from the University of Southern California. Dr. Yael also has a Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS) degree from San Jose State University. In addition, Dr. Bozzay earned an Educational Administration Credential & BA in English from California State University San Marcos, and an Administrative Clear Credential in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Point Loma Nazarene University.

Welcome to the Poway Unified School District! We are a national leader in K-12 public education. The Poway Unified School District is located in northern San Diego County, California. PUSD operates 25 elementary schools (K-5), one elementary & middle school combination (TK-8th), six middle schools (6-8), one continuation high school, five comprehensive high schools (9-12), and one adult school. 26 schools are located in the city of San Diego; 12 schools in the city of Poway. The District serves over 36,000 students, and is the third largest school district in the county.
