Michael Means has a diverse work experience in the visual effects industry. Michael started their career as an intern at Look Effects in 2012 and later worked at Framestore as a Matchmove Artist and Paint & Roto Artist from 2012 to 2014. Michael also worked at Method Studios as a Matchmove Artist from 2013 to 2015. In 2014, they joined Shade VFX as a Compositor and Matchmover until 2018. During this time, they also worked at DIVE as a Compositor and Matchmover from 2014 to 2015. In 2015, they briefly worked at Psyop as a Compositor. Michael is currently employed at PowerHouse VFX, where they started as a Tracking Supervisor in 2018 and is currently working as the Head of Tracking. Additionally, during their time at the Art Institute of Philadelphia from 2009 to 2012, they held positions as a Lab Monitor and a Media Cage Employee.
Michael Means attended The Art Institute of Philadelphia from 2009 to 2012. Michael completed a Bachelor's degree in Visual Effects and Motion Graphics during this period.
