Nir Orlev

Nir Orlev has had a long and varied career in software engineering. In 1991, they began their career as a Programming Team Leader in the Israel Defense Forces. In 1996, they became a Software Engineer at Comverse. A year later, they moved to Sela Labs as a Senior Software Instructor. In 1999, they were a Software Development Project Leader at Tel Aviv University. In 2004, they became a Senior Software Engineer at SharedBook Ltd. Israel. In 2009, they became a Senior Software Engineer on the Incubator team at BMC Software. In 2013, they were Partner & CEO at WeMarket4U Ltd. In 2015, they were a Senior Software Engineer at XanEdu, Inc. In 2016, they became a Senior Frontend Developer and Frontend Tech Lead at PowToon. Finally, in 2018, they became an Architect Team Lead, Software Architect, and R&D Tech Lead at Powtoon - a Visual Native company.

Nir Orlev completed their M.Sc. in Bioinformatics and Human Genetics at Tel Aviv University from 1999 to 2002. Prior to that, they obtained a B.A. in Computer Science and Management from the same university from 1994 to 1998. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Software Architecture: Breaking a Monolith into Microservices from LinkedIn in June 2021.
