Alex Frangos has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Alex began their career at PwC Greece as a summer intern in 2000. Alex then joined Deloitte as an Assistant Manager in Transaction Services from September 2001 to April 2005. In 2005, they joined HSBC, where they worked as a Director in Investment Banking, specializing in the automotive sector. Alex was responsible for origination and execution of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, debt capital markets, and leveraged finance. Alex joined PQH in September 2017 as the Head of Corporate Workout Unit and then became the Chief Strategy Officer in February 2018.
Alex Frangos has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Southampton, which they obtained from 1998 to 2001. From 2001 to 2004, they pursued further education at ICAEW, where they completed the ACA program. Prior to that, from 1985 to 1998, Alex attended Athens College, although specific degrees or fields of study during this time were not mentioned.

PQH was established in 2016 and appointed by the Bank of Greece to act as the Single Special Liquidator for all credit and financial institutions under special liquidation in Greece. There are currently 19 institutions under special liquidation, with several billion-euro worth of assets, the majority of which consist of corporate and retail non-performing loans. Following the successful consolidation of the liquidations’ operations under a single organizational structure, PQH is fulfilling its mission to maximize recoveries for creditors in a timely manner – through servicing and liquidating the assets. Via the implementation of transparent, fair and impartial processes, PQH aims at reactivating, restructuring or settling the largest number of accounts possible. PQH operates in accordance with an approved by the Bank of Greece, for its legal and regulatory provisions, yearly renewed business plan, which clearly states its strategic and operational goals, as well as the overall action plan and initiatives to meet them. The management team of PQH comprises of expert professionals from the commercial banking, investment banking and consulting industries with significant domestic and international experience in similar fields.
