Rick Lanman, MD, serves as the President of the Institute for Historical Ecology since January 2011 and holds board positions with Chiara Biosciences, CIRCULOGENE, and BIOLASE, Inc. Additionally, Rick Lanman advises Precede Biosciences, Sunbird Bio, and Teiko.bio. A former Global Chief Medical Officer and advisor at Guardant Health, Rick Lanman contributed to advancing diagnostic laboratory services for cancer patients. Rick Lanman has also been a volunteer with the North Santa Clara Resource Conservation District, aiding in local conservation efforts. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Stanford University, an MD from Northwestern University, and board certification in psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Our unique genome-wide platform profiles circulating chromatin and the DNA methylome to deliver resolution into the dynamic activity of individual genes and pathways in diseased tissues from just 1mL of plasma. By partnering with developers of new medicines and advancing our own diagnostic tests, we’re working towards a world where new medicine development efforts succeed more frequently, and where anyone can receive a minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment that’s precise to the biology of their disease.
