Emily Guthrie has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and organizations. Emily began their career as a Social Media Intern at Rebuilding Respect for Women in 2011, followed by an Engagement Media Internship at Amnesty International and a Digital Safety and Citizenship Research Internship at UNICEF. In 2012, they worked as a Communications Assistant at Women Presidents' Organization/Women Presidents' Educational Organization. Emily then served as a Volunteer English Teacher at Bnai Darfur in 2013 before becoming a Social Studies and English Teacher at the International School of Choueifat from 2014 to 2016. Emily briefly worked as a Conflict Resolution Instructor at The American University of Iraq Sulaimani in 2016. From 2017 to 2019, Emily worked as a Development Officer at SANAD for Peacebuilding and as a Middle East Program Officer at Mercy Corps. Emily then joined Premise as an Operations Manager for Global Affairs and International Development, later progressing to roles such as International Development and Global Affairs Operations Director, Director of Customer Operations, and currently serving as the Director of Data Acquisition.
Emily Guthrie attended The George Washington University from 2007 to 2011, where they pursued a major in Political Science. In 2010, they studied abroad at Maastricht University, focusing on Political Science and Psychology. In 2023, they obtained a certification in Introduction to SQL from Sololearn.
