Haaris Abbasi has had a diverse range of work experience. Haaris started their career as a Software Engineer at SDI Retail in 2003, where they completed customer-requested updates for the IRIS product. Haaris then worked as an R&D Software Engineer at Bechtel Nevada - Livermore Operations in 2004. In 2005, they joined the Computer Services Center as a Senior/Lead IT Support, providing IT support and leadership. In 2006, they worked as a Website Designer at Shums Coda Associates, responsible for designing Flash animations and website UI. In 2007, they became a Software Engineer at PolyRemedy, Inc., before transitioning to a role as a Registration Camp Information member at Muslim Family Camp of the Bay Area in 2009. In 2010, they worked as a Contract RF Systems Integration & Tools Engineer at Apple Inc., where they wrote automated test systems for RF QA testing. In 2011, they became a QA Automation Engineer at Palm/HP GBU, designing and implementing various test cases and automated test scripts. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as the CTO/Senior Developer at JINN Systems, developing front-end applications and managing offsite engineers. In 2012, they also joined Presto as a Senior QA Automation Engineer, where they designed test suites and test cases and performed comprehensive QA for POS system transitions. Haaris was promoted to Senior Manager of QA and Automation at Presto in 2014. In 2015, they became the Director of Engineering at Presto, responsible for resource and team planning and creating lead structures within the Engineering Org. Haaris was recently promoted to Senior Director of Engineering at Presto, where they lead engineering hiring and drives new initiatives and dev ops tooling.
Haaris Abbasi earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science from San Jose State University in 2007. Haaris also obtained another Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the same university, although the specific dates and duration of this program are unknown.
