Claudia Sanchez-Lopez

Claudia Sanchez-Lopez currently serves as the Associate Program Director at Prevention Institute, having started in August 2023. Previously, Claudia held the position of Director of Community Initiatives at Avenue CDC from May 2021 to June 2023. Prior to that, Claudia was the Executive Director at YMCA of Greater Houston, where responsibilities included managing operations for staff and implementing community food distribution initiatives. Claudia's extensive experience at YMCA spans nearly a decade, including roles such as Executive Director-Outreach and Community Executive Director, focusing on budget management, program development, and community partnership oversight. Earlier roles included positions at the Harris County Juvenile Probation Department and Guaranty Bank. Claudia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management with a focus on International Business from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
