Jaella Lahat

Jaella Lahat is currently serving as the Coding For Data Team Lead at Podium Education, where responsibilities include mentoring over 60 students in SQL, Python, and Tableau. As an Ignite Fellow with Teach For America, Jaella supports BIPOC youth in overcoming educational barriers through high-impact tutoring. Additionally, Jaella holds multiple roles at Virginia Commonwealth University, including You First Mentor and Peer Academic Coach, focusing on the development of first-generation students. Involvement extends to positions such as Co-Founder and Vice President of Operation Smile at VCU, and President of the Kapwa Youth Program, where Jaella fosters educational initiatives and community engagement for AAPI youth. An active member of Girls Who Code at VCU, Jaella also manages digital outreach as a university ambassador for Princess Polly. Jaella is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, with an expected graduation in May 2025.
