Joe Fig serves as the Department Head of Fine Arts at Ringling College of Art and Design since June 2017, overseeing the development, growth, and curriculum of the department. Additionally, Joe Fig holds the position of Department Head of Visual Studies, managing the corresponding program. As an artist affiliated with Cristin Tierney Gallery and an author for Princeton Architectural Press, notable works include "Inside the Artist's Studio" (2015) and "Inside the Painter's Studio" (2009). Previous experience includes teaching and serving as a Board Member at Hartford Art School from January 2012 to May 2017 and working as the Associate Director of Special Programs at the School of Visual Arts from September 1993 to March 2003. Joe Fig's educational background includes an MFA in Fine Arts, Visual Arts from the School of Visual Arts (2000-2002) and a BFA in Fine Arts from the same institution (1986-1991).
