Founded in 2002 by the current Managing Director Adam Thyssen. Procal Dairies is a true Australian family business owned by the Thyssen family who were previously best known for developing The Original Juice Co. into a market-leading brand of juices and other drinks. In 2002, The Original Juice Co. was sold Golden Circle.
In 2003, Adam Thyssen together with his father Nick created Procal Dairies which began trading in July 2003. Keeping up with demand required further growth, so a new, state of the art production facility was built in Campbellfield, in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. Today Procal Dairies remains firmly in the hands of the Thyssen family, producing an award winning range of Procal branded Milk, Flavoured Milk, Cream, Sour Cream and Yoghurts. Procal has recently embarked on an export program which has seen the business supplying products to 5 countries in South East Asia. Procal also contract packs a number of leading products for other companies.
