Waheed Amiri

Waheed Amiri has extensive experience in mechanical engineering. Waheed currently serves as the Director of Mechanical Engineering at PROCEPT BioRobotics. Prior to this, they worked at Cepheid as the Director of Systems Engineering and later as a Senior Manager of Mechanical Engineering. At Cepheid, they were responsible for building and leading high-performing teams, implementing engineering and documentation standards, and developing next-generation PCR instrumentation. Before that, Waheed worked at BD as a Manager of Mechanical Engineering and as a Staff Mechanical Engineer. Waheed also gained experience as a Senior Staff Mechanical Design Engineer at Carl Zeiss Meditec AG, a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Lumentum, and a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Space Systems Loral.

Waheed Amiri holds a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering from San Jose State University. Waheed also has a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Mechanical Design from Santa Clara University. In July 2003, they obtained the certification of Engineer-in-Training from the Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.
