Akash Ajagekar is a graduate researcher at the Process-Energy-Environmental Systems Engineering (PEESE) Lab since July 2021 and has gained extensive teaching experience at Cornell University, serving as a teaching assistant for courses including ASTRO 1101 and INFO 3950, as well as a graduate teaching and research specialist for SYSEN 5300. Previous roles include working as a student enrollment representative at eCornell and as a data analyst at Airtalk.ai. Akash has also completed several data science internships at companies such as Exposys Data Labs, Verzeo, and Cloud Counselage Pvt. Ltd. Akash holds a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication from Savitribai Phule Pune University.

We are an interdisciplinary Systems Engineering and Data Science research group. Our research focuses on advanced computational models, optimization algorithms, statistical machine learning methods, and multi-scale systems and data analytics tools for smart manufacturing, digital agriculture, quantum computing, energy systems, and sustainability. The research work at Process-Energy-Environmental Systems Engineering (PEESE) lab provides a balance between theory, computation and real world applications.
