Xueyu Tian is a graduate researcher in renewable energy and sustainability at the Process-Energy-Environmental Systems Engineering (PEESE) Lab since September 2016 and has been serving as a graduate research assistant at Cornell University since August 2019. Xueyu contributed as a public speaker at the 28th European Symposium on Computer Aided Process Engineering in June 2018, presenting research on the comparative life cycle assessment of ethylene from wet shale gas and biomass. Xueyu is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Systems Engineering at Cornell University, expected to be completed in 2024, following a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering earned at the same institution from 2016 to 2019 and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University from 2012 to 2016.

We are an interdisciplinary Systems Engineering and Data Science research group. Our research focuses on advanced computational models, optimization algorithms, statistical machine learning methods, and multi-scale systems and data analytics tools for smart manufacturing, digital agriculture, quantum computing, energy systems, and sustainability. The research work at Process-Energy-Environmental Systems Engineering (PEESE) lab provides a balance between theory, computation and real world applications.
