Boris Boom

Boris Boom, Ph.D., currently serves as a System Architect and RF Engineer at Prodrive Technologies since September 2020. Previously, Boris held the position of Junior Researcher at Nikhef from September 2015 to September 2020, while continuing responsibilities as a PhD candidate focused on developing seismic instrumentation for gravitational wave detectors within the LIGO-Virgo Collaboration, culminating in a thesis on low-noise microseismometers. Boris's early experience includes roles as a Profile Workstuk Supervisor and Private Tutor at Twente Academy, a Visiting Researcher at the Institute of Industrial Science, University of Tokyo, and a Physics Teacher at Parkcollege Hengelo. Boris obtained a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Technische Natuurkunde from the University of Twente, following earlier high school education at Stedelijk Gymnasium 's-Hertogenbosch.
