Luke Mason currently serves as the Chief Software Architect at Productive Machines since May 2023. Prior to this role, Luke Mason was the Emerging Technology Workstream Lead at STFC, where significant contributions were made in showcasing the potential of quantum computing for the UK industry. Luke Mason also held leadership positions as High Performance Software Engineering Group Leader and Application Performance Engineering Group Leader at Hartree Centre, focusing on research strategy and project management in high-performance computing and quantum computing. Additionally, Luke Mason founded and directed Formeric from January 2019 to April 2022, developing a technology roadmap for a computational chemistry SaaS offering. Academically, Luke Mason holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, an Meng in Robotics, and a BEng in Robotics, all from Heriot-Watt University.
