Project Equity
Donna Sky has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Donna started their career in 2005 as an Instructor in Aquatic Therapy and worked in that role until 2008. In 2008, they co-founded a company called Love & Foods and served as a Co-Founder until 2021. From 2009 to 2013, they worked at La Cocina as an Entrepreneur. In 2018, they joined Project Equity as a Business Development Manager, and in 2020 they transitioned to the role of Business Engagement + Strategic Partnership Manager. In 2019, they also worked as a Start Up Advisor + Management Consultant at Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center. Additionally, they were a Community Fellow at the National League of Cities and the Democracy at Work Institute from 2019 to 2021, where they focused on shared equity in economic development.
Donna Sky holds a Master's degree in Counseling from Kean University. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Montclair State University. No specific start or end dates are provided for either of their degrees.

Project Equity is a national leader in the movement to harness employee ownership to maintain thriving local business communities, honor selling owners’ legacies, and address income and wealth inequality. Headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, Project Equity works with partners around the country to raise awareness about employee ownership asan exit strategy for business owners, and as an important approach for increasing employee engagement and wellbeing. Thry also provide hands on consulting and support to companies that want to transition to employee ownership, as well as to the new employee-owners to ensure that they, and their businesses, thrive after the transition.
