Tamiru Wondie holds an MD in Medicine and a Master of Public Health (MPH) with a specialization in Pediatrics and Child Health. Currently serving as Regional Manager and Senior NCH Advisor for a Gates-funded project at Project HOPE since May 2020, Tamiru has extensive experience in public health and pediatric care, holding various leadership roles including Deputy Chief of Party for the USAID-Empowered Communities Activity and Senior NCH and Immunization Advisor. Prior experience includes serving as an advisor at the Federal Ministry of Health Ethiopia, a National School Health and Nutrition Advisor, and a consultant with the World Health Organization on maternal and perinatal health. Tamiru's early career includes significant clinical practice as a Pediatrician and Medical Director at Debremarkos Referral Hospital and experience as a general practitioner in various capacities. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine from Jimma University and a public health specialization from Debre Markos University.
