Àlex Barba has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Àlex is currently working as a Software Engineer at PromoFarma by DocMorris since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at XING as a Software Engineer from June 2021 to November 2022. From June 2019 to June 2021, they served as a Frontend Developer at PromoFarma, where they worked on multiple projects using technologies such as vanilla JS, Vue, NodeJS, Express in TS, PHP, Symfony, and GraphQL in TS.
In addition to their software engineering roles, Àlex has also worked in managerial positions. From November 2016 to August 2018, they were the General Manager at BCN Apartment Rentals, where they oversaw the daily operations of the luxury serviced apartments and managed the company's annual goals. Prior to this, they were the Area Director of Revenue Management at Gestió i Serveis Trade Center from December 2013 to November 2016. In this role, they collaborated with the Sales Director and Hotel Managers to maximize hotel revenue through market and competitive analysis.
Earlier in their career, Àlex worked as a Manager at Sixtyfour Apartments from November 2010 to May 2013, where they were responsible for revenue management and budgeting. Àlex also served as the Front Desk Manager at Hotel Sixtytwo from September 2009 to May 2013, overseeing the work of Front Office Agents and ensuring optimal staffing levels. Prior to this, they worked as the Guest Service Manager at Express by Holiday Inn Zaragoza from June 2008 to September 2009, and as a Front Desk Assistant at Express by Holiday Inn Molins de Rei from September 2006 to June 2008.
In addition to their professional roles, Àlex also contributed to the field of education as a Teacher Assistant at Skylab Coders Academy from March 2019 to June 2019.
Àlex Barba attended the Full-Stack Web-Development Bootcamp at ISDI Coders in 2019. Prior to that, they completed a Diploma in Tourism at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona from 2005 to 2009.
