Rob Mixer

Rob Mixer is a seasoned professional specializing in application security, with extensive experience across various roles in the technology sector. As a Principal Application Security Engineer at Proofpoint since April 2019, Rob provides expertise in threat modeling, design reviews, and automated security testing. Previously, as Co-Founder and CTO of Oak Tree Logic, Rob developed a network security appliance aimed at enhancing user privacy. Rob's past roles include Manager of Product Security Advisory Services at EY, where Rob led agile AppSec teams, and Chief Engineer of Product Security at National Instruments, advising on security risks. Rob's foundational experience includes security architecture at Emerson Automation Solutions and leadership positions within General Dynamics Mission Systems and the United States Air Force, where Rob managed significant IT operations and security responsibilities. Rob holds a BS in Computer Science from the United States Air Force Academy and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University.
