Sean Malin is an experienced writer and editor with a diverse background in comedy, food journalism, and film criticism. Currently serving as a Comedy Columnist and Comedy Writer for New York Magazine since February 2019, Sean also holds the position of Copy Manager at Prop Store since July 2018, where responsibilities include creating original copy and co-developing auction catalogues. Additional roles include writing for The New York Times and Eater, as well as a stint as a contributing writer for LAist.com and a food critic for The Proclaimer Santa Clarita Valley. Sean founded and served as Editor-in-Chief of CineMalin, a film commentary website, from January 2013 to February 2020. With a strong educational background in media studies and cinema from institutions like The University of Texas at Austin and San Francisco State University, Sean's expertise spans various aspects of media and pop culture.
