Manuel Léon's work experience includes a role as the Managing Director - Regional Head for Mexico, Central America & the Caribbean at Proparco since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at the Agence Française de Développement from 2014 to 2023, where they held various positions including Sustainable Finance Expert and Senior Investment Officer. Manuel also served as a Board Member at the French National Advisory Board for Impact Investing and Impact Invest Lab from 2018 to 2020. Before that, they worked at Credit Agricole CIB from 2007 to 2014, primarily in roles related to Structured Finance in the Telecom, Media & Technology sector. Manuel started their career as a Financial Analyst at TOTAL in 2006 and later worked as an Assistant Revenue Manager at SFR in 2005.
Manuel LÉON completed their education with a Master's degree in Management with a specialization in Corporate Finance from EDHEC Business School, which they attended from 2003 to 2007. Manuel also studied Corporate Finance at Universidad Pontificia Comillas from 2006 to 2007. Manuel's earlier education includes a French Baccalauréat from Lycée Bellepierre, where they focused on Mathematics and English, from 1998 to 2001.
