Stephen Hibbard

Stephen Hibbard is a seasoned legal professional and partner at Proskauer Rose LLP since April 2023. With a distinguished career that began as an associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell from 1987 to 1994, Hibbard has held partnership positions at renowned firms including Bingham McCutchen LLP, Shearman & Sterling LLP, and JONES DAY®, where tenure lasted until March 2023. Additionally, Hibbard has served in leadership roles at several organizations, including as Corporate Secretary and Chairman at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs since January 2017, and as a member of the Board of Trustees at The Bay School of San Francisco since August 2018. Hibbard also contributed to Lawyers Without Borders as a Board of Trustees member from January 2017 to December 2019 and led the Association of Business Trial Lawyers of Northern California as President from 2002 to 2010. Hibbard holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Yale Law School and a B.A. in International Relations, English Literature, and Philosophic Theology from the University of South Carolina’s South Carolina Honors College.
