Rick Villagrana has a diverse work experience in various roles. Rick started their career in 2011 at C-Dive, LLC as a Commercial Diver for offshore oil and gas operations. Rick then joined Acuren in 2014 as a Non-Destructive Testing specialist until 2018. From 2018 to 2022, Rick worked at Waygate Technologies as a Production lead and IXS services lead. Currently, they are employed at PROtect LLC in the role of Project Manager and Digital and Computerized Radiography SME.
Rick Villagrana obtained a bachelor's degree in Business Science with a focus on Operations Management and Supervision from the University of Phoenix, where they studied from 2020 to 2023. Prior to that, in 2011, they attended The Ocean Corporation and received a Udt diploma in Commercial Diving. In addition to their degrees, Rick also obtained certifications, such as being a member of the Lambda Sigma Chapter of Delta Mu Delta - International Academic Honor Society in Business, which they achieved in October 2022. Rick also received a Leadership Success certification from The National Society of Leadership and Success in June 2021.

The company was founded in 2007 and is headquartered near Wichita in Colwich, Kansas.
