Thomas Baetschmann has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Thomas currently serves as the Head of Accounting at Protectas SA since 2021. Prior to that, they worked at the International School of Lausanne for ten years, where they held the position of Head of Finance/Business and Services Manager. In this role, they were responsible for financial management, human resources and payroll management, support services, and general administration. Thomas managed a department of 30 employees and successfully streamlined financial and administrative processes during a period of expansion. Before their tenure at the International School of Lausanne, Thomas worked at NorthgateArinso as a Finance Manager, where they played a crucial role in establishing the financial and administrative structure for the Swiss entity. Thomas also worked as a Finance & HR Manager at CIPAG SA, a Field Administrator at ICRC, and a Finance Analyst at Lipton-Sais (Unilever). Throughout their career, Thomas has demonstrated expertise in financial management, administrative restructuring, and team leadership.
Thomas Baetschmann obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from HEC Lausanne - The Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Lausanne. In addition, they obtained the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® certification from the Project Management Institute in November 2020.
