Amar Kanagaraj is an accomplished entrepreneur and business leader with extensive experience in technology and data privacy. As the Founder and CEO of Protecto since September 2020, Amar focuses on engineering a privacy-first world by empowering enterprises with advanced intelligence to safeguard privacy and manage data protection risks. Prior to this role, Amar co-founded FileCloud and served as Chief Marketing Officer from 2016 to 2019, successfully promoting innovative data solutions. Amar's career at Microsoft spanned from 2008 to 2016, holding various leadership positions in business planning and strategy for Search, AI, and Bing. Earlier experience includes roles at Booz & Company and Sun Microsystems, where strategic and technical expertise was developed. Amar holds an MBA in Strategy, Finance, and Marketing from Carnegie Mellon University, a Master’s in Computer Science from Louisiana State University, and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy.
