Russell Nelson

Russell Nelson has extensive work experience in the software development field. Russell started their career as a Computer Science Research Intern at Hope College in 1993, where they developed graphical implementations of genetic algorithms. Russell then worked as a Software Developer Intern at Logos Bible Software in 1995, contributing to the development of various Windows applications and Perl scripts. In 1995, they also worked as an Independent Contractor, focusing on web development and designing web pages for clients. From 1996 to 2000, they worked at Sylvan Prometric, initially as an Associate Software Engineer and later as a Software Engineer. In these roles, they gained experience in software development. From 2000 to 2012, they worked at Prometric, Inc as a Senior Software Engineer. Russell was responsible for the design and development of software, involving single location and distributed teams. Additionally, they worked closely with product owners and end-users to ensure the software fully met customer needs. Since 2012, they have been working at Protolabs, initially as a Senior Software Developer and currently as a Software Tech Lead.

Russell Nelson attended Hope College from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science.
