Jessi Baker has a diverse work experience. From 2002 to 2006, they worked as a Design Engineer at Arup. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as a Design for Manufacture at Mulberry Company (design) Ltd. From 2007 to 2008, they worked as a Design + Creative Technology Strategy at American Apparel, WGSN and others. From 2008 to 2011, they worked as a Business Strategy Consultant at Estin&Co/IDATE. From 2011 to 2013, they worked as a Product Designer and Developer at jessibaker.com and as a Creative Technologist at TBWA\Worldwide. Finally, from 2013 to present, they have been the Founder & CEO of Provenance, where they have pioneered the use of blockchain tech for supply chain transparency and proof of impact.
Jessi Baker completed a MEng MA in Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Cambridge. From 2009 to 2011, they attended the Royal College of Art, where they earned a MA in Innovation Design Engineering. Jessi also attended Imperial College London during this time, receiving an MSc in IDE. From 2013 to 2017, they attended UCL and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) sponsored by Intel in Computer Science.
