Lucy Singletary is an accomplished educator with extensive experience in science education and leadership roles. Currently serving as the Upper School Science Department Chair, Upper School Science Teacher, Class Dean, and Upper School Equity & Inclusion Coordinator at Providence Day School since 2015, Lucy has developed innovative teaching methods, including a flipped classroom model for Honors Chemistry and AP Chemistry. Previous experience includes serving as a Chemistry Teacher at Gaston Day School, along with tutoring high school students in science and math. Lucy holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a dual A.B. degree in Chemistry and Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis.
