Robbert Jan Wijntjes has extensive experience in urban design and management, currently serving as Chairman at MOOI noord holland since 2020 and as General Manager at TSC townscape bv since January 2000. Wijntjes previously held the position of Team Member at kennislab for urbanism from February 2015 to January 2020, and General Manager at Is Maatwerk from 2007 to April 2014, as well as General Manager at HzA stedebouw&landschap bv from January 2000 to April 2014. Additional experience includes roles as Head of the Urban Department and Interim Director of City Development at Gemeente Lelystad between 1997 and 2004, Senior Urban Designer at zandvoort ordening en advies from 1989 to 1997, and Senior Urban Designer at Ir HP Kuijpers bv from 1981 to 1989. Wijntjes earned a Master's Degree in Urban Design and Architecture from Delft University of Technology, completing studies from 1972 to 1979.
