Senior Cloud Security Engineer - Founding Engineer at Prowler

Sergio Garcia is a Cloud Security Engineer with extensive experience in cloud security practices and infrastructure. Currently employed at Prowler since March 2022, Sergio maintains and enhances the leading Open Source tool for Cloud Security by implementing new security checks across AWS, GCP, and Azure. Previously, Sergio worked at Openbank, where responsibilities included securing AWS infrastructure and developing an IAM Control system that upheld the least privilege principle. As an intern at Amazon, Sergio contributed to the ip. ring project within the Ring Customer Service & SecOps team, and at Banco Santander, Sergio gained insights into cybersecurity vulnerabilities through the analysis of BitSight security reports. Sergio holds a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity from Universidad Europea and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from both Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and Warsaw University of Technology. Additionally, Sergio participated in the Engineer Incubator Program at Cisco Networking Academy.
