David Straub

David Straub is a fusion researcher at Proxima Fusion since September 2024, with extensive experience in battery technology and data science. Previously, David held roles at Lilium, where responsibilities included leading battery cell modeling and simulation, systems engineering, and data integration using platforms like Palantir Foundry and PySpark. Earlier experience includes leadership in theoretical elementary particle physics research at the Technische Universität München, where David initiated open-source software projects and contributed to high-performance computing. Additional roles involved postdoctoral positions focusing on high-energy physics research. David holds a Dr. rer. nat. in Physics and a Diplom-Physiker from the Technical University of Munich.
