Harvey Newman is an accomplished animator and game director with extensive experience across various prominent companies in the gaming industry. Currently, Harvey serves as the Founder and Game Director at Proxima Studio, where a new AAA single-player narrative game is being developed. Additionally, as the Founder of Animworks Ltd, a studio focused on animation training and consulting, Harvey aims to empower students and professionals in the gaming sector. Harvey has contributed as a juror for the BAFTA Games Awards since 2015, including serving as the final juror for the inaugural BAFTA Games Animation Award in 2020. Previous roles include Head of Animation at Avalon Corp, Animation Director at Build A Rocket Boy, and lead positions at industry leaders such as DICE and Creative Assembly. Harvey holds a BA Hons in Animation from the University of West London.
