Bob Bastian

Bob Bastian, MSM, currently serves as CIO and Head of Data, Service and Technology at Prudential Financial since November 2017, overseeing a $390 million budget and managing a team of 8 direct reports and approximately 2000 total staff across several business units. Bastian has held multiple pivotal roles within Prudential, including Vice President and CIO for the Individual Solutions Group, where responsibilities expanded significantly, addressing project delays and enhancing IT strategy and governance. With a career spanning over two decades at Prudential and previous experience at Automated Control Concepts, Inc., and Educational Testing Service, Bastian has demonstrated expertise in technology innovation, stakeholder management, and change management, earning accolades such as the ACORD Innovation Award in 2007. Bastian holds a Master's Degree in Management from The George Washington University and a Bachelor's Degree in History from Thomas Edison State University.
