Roelof Coertze serves as the Head of Enterprise Risk Management for Africa at Prudential plc since April 2023 and holds the position of Co-Chair at the Actuaries' Carbon Collaboration since February 2021. Coertze is a Co-Founder and ex-President of the Network of Consulting Actuaries UK (NoCA), which facilitates knowledge sharing among actuaries in various specializations, including Solvency II and Enterprise Risk Management. As Executive Director of Coertze & Consultants since January 2016, Coertze has previously held several roles at Prudential plc and Canada Life, focusing on actuarial functions, climate policy, and internal modeling. Educational qualifications include an FFA in Actuarial Science from the Faculty of Actuaries and a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Mathematics from Stellenbosch University, along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Actuarial Science from the University of Cape Town. Coertze also completed training as a Mental Health First Aider in June 2022.
